Michele Feder-Nadoff- Biography
Michele is an independent artist, educator, curator, and also the project director of the extensive founding project, Ritmo del Fuego/ Rhythm of Fire (1998-2005). She has taught and exhibited work internationally and nationally for over 25 years, including the Phyllis Kind Gallery Chicago, Venice Biennial, ARCO Spain, and Rockford Art Museum. As a second generation American, Feder-Nadoff is sensitive to the immigrant experience, bi-culturalism, and the identity of "otherness". Her leadership skills come from applying intense artistic intuition, sensitivity, and intellect to a rigorous and stubborn desire to penetrate, understand, grasp, and transform the roots of social injustice. She inspires and motivates a wide variety of people to contribute and collaborate in their own very unique ways to achieve a shared vision. Michele is a member of Piece-Process, a national exhibiting collective of Palestinian, Israeli, Jewish, and Muslim artists dedicated to peaceful dialogue and exchange.
